Thomas Bartu is considered the “oldest young entrepreneur” in Munich-Schwabing because to his company Center 60 . There, he operates a quaint and delicious ice cream shop. Thomas Bartu was given the title of “Munich Shoe King” during his career. The sales of his collections consistently rank among the highest in Germany. Today, at the age of 68, he is known for creating a unique ice cream in Munich. Now, he plans to use it to take over the city, especially during the winter months.

Bartu was married to a young woman and had a little son when he was 42 years old. He also owned his own collections, seven stores, and had more than a hundred staff working for him. In 1947, Josef and Anny Tretter opened the doors to their first shoe store in Munich, which they named after themselves. After that, further locations opened, including the first house to bear the Thomas brand in 1956. This house was named after the couple who created the company; their son, Thomas, was born in 1953. Following then, other locations of both the Tretter and Thomas brands were opened in and around Munich.

In 1988 the company took over Bartu shoes. Thomas Tretter became an authorized signatory for the corporation in the same year that he joined, and he assumed management responsibilities in 1990.Since 2015, Gregor Tretter and Luca Tretter, sons of Thomas Tretter, have both been contributing members of the management team.
